Coronavirus in India: Telangana reports first Covid-19 death

Telangana reported its first Covid-19 death on Saturday, taking the total number of deaths in India to 23.

A 74-year-old with travel history to Delhi tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday after he died at a private hospital in Telangana earlier.

A family of four, who had also visited Delhi, tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Saturday.

Besides, four medics deployed at RGI Airport in Hyderabad had also reportedly contracted the virus.

A total of 65 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in Telangana so far, while the tally of active cases rose to 63.

One Covid-19 patient in the state was cured and discharged simultaneously, however, one died on Saturday evening.
